Cleanova, a global leader in advanced industrial filtration solutions, today announced the completion of strategic acquisitions of two U.S.-based companies: Airflotek and TES-Clean Air Systems. Founded in 1982, Airflotek specializes in designing and manufacturing customized air filtration and controlled environment systems. Its products are deployed in some of the world’s most advanced cleanroom environments, serving highly demanding industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology—sectors where air quality is mission-critical. Established in 1986, TES-Clean Air Systems has served as the exclusive distributor for Airflotek products for decades, building deep expertise in cleanroom and semiconductor applications and providing robust support to a global customer base.

These acquisitions immediately position Cleanova in the critical ultra-clean controlled environments market, enabling it to address rapidly growing applications including AI-driven semiconductor fabrication, data center and high-performance computing infrastructure expansion, and sterile pharmaceutical and biotech production—domains where reliability, performance, and contamination control are absolutely essential.
Airflotek and TES-Clean Air Systems bring decades of specialized expertise in mission-critical cleanroom and ultra-clean air filtration solutions, backed by industry-leading technical capabilities.
Airflotek’s custom-engineered Fan Filter Units (FFUs) deliver High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) and Ultra-Low Penetration Air (ULPA) filtration performance in advanced cleanroom settings. These systems protect sensitive manufacturing processes while achieving the precise particulate control required by stringent regulatory standards, significantly reducing contamination-related risks. Airflotek’s tailored designs optimize airflow uniformity, energy efficiency, and overall operational performance across diverse facility layouts and cleanliness classifications. The company also offers a comprehensive portfolio of complementary cleanroom infrastructure solutions.
These transactions mark Cleanova’s fifth and sixth acquisitions since 2023 and follow its strategic acquisition of Micronics Engineered Filtration Group in 2025. Under the terms of the deal, Airflotek and TES-Clean Air Systems will be integrated into a single business unit under the Cleanova brand.
Cleanova is a portfolio company of PX3, a London-based private equity firm.
Chris Cummins, Chief Executive Officer of Cleanova, stated: “Airflotek and TES-Clean Air Systems are an exceptional strategic fit with Cleanova. Their deep expertise in custom FFUs, HEPA/ULPA air filtration, and controlled environment solutions enables us to successfully expand into highly regulated, ultra-clean sectors such as semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. This integration further solidifies Cleanova’s position as the world’s leading independent industrial filtration platform, offering customers an even broader range of high-performance, mission-critical solutions.”
Alan Schlesinger, President of Airflotek, and Jim Harris, Founder of TES-Clean Air Systems, said: “We are proud to join Cleanova—a company that shares our commitment to technical excellence, customer collaboration, and mission-critical filtration performance. Our teams look forward to contributing to Cleanova’s growth while continuing to support our global customers with the same responsiveness, reliability, and expertise they have come to trust.”
A Managing Partner at PX3 commented: “We are delighted to support Cleanova’s management team in completing these strategic acquisitions. Airflotek and TES-Clean Air Systems significantly enhance Cleanova’s capabilities in ultra-clean air filtration and controlled environments, opening new avenues into high-growth, high-value sectors like semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. This investment underscores our long-term commitment to building the world’s premier independent industrial filtration platform and accelerating Cleanova’s global expansion.”
For this transaction, Cleanova engaged Alvarez & Marsal as accounting and tax advisor; Aon as benefits, insurance, and pension advisor; Debevoise & Plimpton as tax structuring advisor; Perkins Coie as legal counsel; and Phoenix Advantage as IT advisor.
