A "New Generation” of Level 4
Stellantis officials plan to combine its vehicle engineering and manufacturing capabilities with NVIDIA software, Foxconn electronics, and Uber ride-hailing to build toward a“new generation” of Level 4 autonomous driving, in which vehicles can respond to potential problems without the need for human intervention.Stellantis noted that its autonomous vehicle-ready platforms are already powered by NVIDIA architecture.
Other Partnerships
The initiative follows other Stellantis partnerships on self-driving vehicles, including an agreement in Europe with Pony.ai and a pact with Uber to build a robotaxi fleet in the U.S. Stellantis plans to begin production of vehicles for the Uber program in 2028.
