The VICS-2000 has been developed in collaboration with KOGAS (Korean Gas Corporation) as a semi-artifical intelligent robot crawler for visual inspection and collecting foreign materials from gas and oil pipelines (over 20 ~ 30 inch-pipe dia.) It features wireless remote controlled operation with pre-set functions.
Up to 500m dual-trip ability distinguishes VICS-2000 from other robot vehicles, which only travel 100~200m due to cable weight. With this remarkably improved travel distance, VICS-2000 is ideal for gas and oil pipeline inspection with long distant valve joints. During pre-set travel, VICS-2000 records the conditions of pipe inside as well as collects foreign materials like iron-component materials.
