Water Tank Vision and Welding Machine

SK Brazing Company has introduced a Water Tank Vision and Welding Machineto compliment their Full Production Line for Hot Water Solar Panel Manufacturing.This new machine has the capability of welding both of the end caps of waterstorage tanks to the main water tank body using either a TIG, MIG, Plasma, CO2or Laser welding process.The introduction of this machine enables manufacturers to increase their watertank production while maximizing water tank quality by:1. Insuring tight dimensional control2. Minimizing heat distortion3. Providing uniform welding quality with precise size controlThese are typical quality concerns associated with manual welding operations.Water tank assemblies can either be loaded onto the machine with or without theend caps spot welded onto the main tank body. If the assemblies are already spotwelded, the machine will start the visioning process by rotating the assemblies ona lathe like fixturing system to check the entire circumference of the joint betweenthe end caps and the tank body for tight dimensional tolerances through the useof vision and laser scanning. The laser sensors check the height variation of thejoints to be welded and the vision sensors check the width variation of the joints tobe welded and all of these measurements are displayed on the machine's VisionScanning Monitor. The machine will not weld if the tolerances exceed themaximum allowable.If the tank assemblies are loaded onto the machine without the end caps havingbeen spot welded to the tank body, the machine would rotate the assemblies toperform this task prior to visioning. The spot welding of the tank body to the endcaps prior to final welding is a critical requirement in order to minimize heatdeformation during the final weld process.Once visioning of the spot welded assemblies is completed and there isconfirmation that the tolerances are within acceptable limits, the machine willthen proceed with final welding the end caps to the body of the water tanksusing the customer's preferred welding process. Typically, this machine holds5mm as the maximum tolerance in visioning with a cycle time of 2~3 minutesper 280~350mmtanks for visioning and welding.The Water Tank Vision and Welding Machine design is flexible to accommodatea variety of water tank sizes and can also weld a variety of tank materials likestainless steel, aluminum or steel etc..SK Brazing Company also furnishes machines to do the linear welding of thewater tank body as well as the spot welding of the end caps(if not done on thevisioning machine) with strong engineering, joint design, and metallurgicalsupport services to assist customers in meeting their hot water solarpanel manufacturing needs.
