It is a kind of multi-component polymer anionic surfactant. Its appearance is light yellow to dark
brown powder, with a slight aromatic smell. Its molecular weight is generally between 800 and 10000.
It has strong dispersibility, cohesiveness and chelation.Usually, the waste liquor of acid pulping (or
sulfite pulping) is made by spray drying. It can contain up to 30% reducing sugar. It is soluble in water,
but not in any common organic solvent. The pH value of its 1% aqueous solution is about 4-6.
Calcium lignosulfonate is used as an adhesive in refractories, casting and ceramics;
Calcium lignosulfonate is used as dispersant, retarder and water reducer in construction
concrete mixing plant.
1. Concrete water reducer: 0.25 ~ 0.3% of the cement content can reduce the water consumption
by more than 10 ~ 14, improve the workability of concrete and improve the project quality. When
used in summer, it can inhibit slump loss and is generally used in combination with superplasticizer.
2. Mineral binder: in the smelting industry, calcium lignosulfonate is mixed with mineral powder to
make mineral powder balls, which are dried and put into the kiln, which can greatly improve the
smelting recovery rate.
