The 2016 Certate features a Hardbodyz aluminum body and side plate, a Zaion air rotor, and an aluminum ABS spool. For increased corrosion resistance, Daiwa has incorporated their Mag Sealed technology in the drive gear, main shaft and line roller. They've even used two mag sealed ball bearings in addition to five corrosion resistant ball bearings. The smaller models have three regular bearings and a roller bearing, while the HD models have one ball bearing plus a roller bearing.
