Zinc Selenide Lens

Zinc Selenide Lens  is a kind of chemically inert material with high purity, strong adaptability and easy processing. It has low optical transmission loss and good transmittance. With low absorption coefficient and high resistance to thermal shock, it is the preferred material for high-power CO2 laser optical elements.

ZnSe lenses are precision optical components commonly used in thermal imaging, high power CO 2 laser systems and life sciences.

Optical Properties of Zinc Selenide

Zinc selenide (ZnSe) is a polycrystalline semiconductor of interest with excellent transmission properties. Specifically, it has a transmission of approximately 70% in the 1-15μm wavelength range and a high transmission in the 600nm to 21μm range.

Manufactured using the chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process, ZnSe optics offer an impressive array of properties:
