How does a hydraulic jack work ?Hydraulic jacks work according to PASCAL's law. It is composed of fuel tank, two pressure cylinders of different sizes, rocker and closing needle valve. When working, lift the small piston to inhale the oil into the small pressure cylinder, and press the oil into the large pressure cylinder when the small piston is pressed. Through the control of two valves, the pressure of the small piston on the oil is transmitted to the large piston, lifting the weight up. The small piston moves back and forth to lift the weight. When the work is finished, open and close the needle valve to connect the high-pressure oil cylinder with the oil tank. At this point, as long as a little pressure on the big piston, the big piston can fall, the oil back into the tank.
