China Chemical Signs Another International Project!

On October 13 local time, Mo Dingge, Chairman of China National Chemical Engineering (CNCEC), Mukul Agrawal, Executive Director of India-based Rama Group Holdings, and Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Chairman of Egypt's Phosphate Company, jointly witnessed in Cairo, Egypt, the signing of an EPC contract for a phosphate fertilizer project among CNCEC's Donghua Company, Rama Group Holdings, and Egypt's Phosphate Company. Also attending the event were Harish Nair, Executive Director of Rama Group Holdings; Tarek Imam Salama, Vice President of Egypt's Phosphate Company; and Wu Xiangong, Vice General Manager of CNCEC.

The project is located in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, about 120 kilometers from Cairo, and includes construction of a 3,100-ton-per-day sulfuric acid unit, a 1,935-ton-per-day DAP unit, and supporting utilities. It features high conversion efficiency, excellent energy-saving performance, and clean, pollution-free operations. The project serves as a vivid example of China-Egypt cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Upon completion, it will effectively drive the transformation and upgrading of Egypt's local phosphate chemical industry from "primary raw material processing" to "high-value-added product manufacturing."

Other international projects by CNCEC

In 2025, CNCEC signed multiple international projects, including Kazakhstan's first coal-to-gas project and the world's largest green ammonia project.

On June 16, during the China-Central Asia Summit and witnessed by Yerlan Akkayev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, CNCEC International Company, jointly with Donghua Company, officially signed the "Agreement on Cooperation for the Kazakhstan Coal-to-Gas Project" with Kazakhgas Research Institute. This marks not only Kazakhstan's first coal-to-gas project but also a milestone achievement in deepening strategic cooperation on clean energy between China and Kazakhstan.

On July 29, China Chemi cal Seventh Construction Co., Ltd. signed in Beijing the FEED+EPC general contracting agreement for the world's largest green ammonia project—the Namibia HIF Hydrogen annual production of 2.4 million tons of green ammonia facility—with Namibia HIF Hydrogen Company. The signing was witnessed by Mo Dingge, Chairman of China Chemical Engineering Group, and Rafineti, CEO of HIF Hydrogen. Long Haiyang, Chairman of Seventh Construction, and Giuseppe, COO of HIF Hydrogen, signed the contract.

On September 2, during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council meeting in Tianjin, and witnessed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Mo Dingge, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Chemical Engineering Group, China Chemical Seventh Construction Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CNCEC, signed framework agreements with SOCAR for two projects—ethylene complex and refinery complex—with a total value of approximately $12 billion.
