A Chinese designer of chips and systems for the automotive sector is utilizing Siemens software in its new“digital twins” of automotive architecture, the German industrial giant announced.
Mirroring Driver Assistance, ??Infotainment?ˉ Systems
SAICEC's architectures will be based on Siemens?ˉ PAVE360 software, company officials said, which will enable users to mirror driver assistance technologies and vehicle“infotainment” systems in the digital realm.
Validating New Capabilities
Digital twins, the companies said, allow hardware and software staff to view and validate entire solutions before the final hardware is installed, which saves those teams time and can avert costly redesign processes should the hardware fail.
Identifying Next-Generation Technologies
In addition to shortening product development timelines, Siemens and SAICEC stated that the technology could also enhance safety, overcome challenges in software-defined vehicle systems, and ultimately aid in identifying next-generation chips and systems.
