The first decision is fitment strategy. Chinese suppliers generally fall into three groups: factories that produce universal or semi-universal DPF substrates and cans, factories that build vehicle-specific assemblies with welded inlet/outlet flanges and sensor bosses, and trading companies that repackage both. For B2B buyers, vehicle-specific assemblies reduce installation labor and warranty claims, but they require accurate OEM cross-reference data.
