Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix brings 339,000 fans to Yas Island

Formula 1: The organizers of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Ethara, announced that the 2025 race week broke attendance records, with a total of 339,000 fans attending the event.

The season finale in 2025 featured a three-way championship battle between McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri and Red Bull's Max Verstappen, drawing a record 203,000 spectators to the Yas Marina Circuit—surpassing the 2024 figure by 19%.

Beyond the on-track drama—Verstappen's victory and Norris claiming his first drivers’ title—the Yasalam After-Race Concerts, presented by e&, attracted a record 136,000 fans over four nights, featuring performances by Benson Boone, Elyanna, Post Malone, Metallica, and Katy Perry, along with official after-parties hosted by Idris Elba, Calvin Harris, and Keinemusik.

Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, said: "This year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which saw an F1 championship decided under the floodlights at Yas Marina Circuit, will be remembered for decades. At Ethara, we were honored to deliver a weekend worthy of this historic moment. Building on world-class entertainment and innovative fan experiences, we welcomed more visitors than ever before, including new hotel concepts, fresh on-site activations, and enhanced Abu Dhabi ticket offerings. Abu Dhabi has once again proven itself as the ultimate destination for the F1 season finale."

New offerings this year included extended track access, with two public pit lane walks on Thursday and FAB Track Walks. A dazzling performance by Benson Boone at the after-race concert made Thursday's warm-up the largest in event history.

Beyond the Grand Prix's reputation as one of the most glamorous events on the F1 calendar, concert headliners such as Benson Boone, Katy Perry, and Metallica were joined in the paddock by celebrities including actresses Ana de Armas and Emily Ratajkowski, actor Jason Statham, entrepreneur Bill Gates, and sports legends Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho, and Jannik Sinner.

As event attendance grows year on year, Ethara continues to innovate in reducing its environmental impact. The 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tripled the use of temporary solar power, with key areas of the circuit—including Turns 2, 5, and 9—fully powered by renewable energy. All temporary generators ran on 100% biofuel blends (B5 and B20), significantly reducing emissions across the event. Another highlight was the partnership with UAE-based Ma-Hawa, which produces water using air-to-water technology. This generated over 260,000 liters of water, eliminating the need for more than 520,000 half-liter plastic bottles over the weekend.

With historic racing action and non-stop entertainment across Yas Island, the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the biggest and most exciting edition yet—an ideal conclusion to F1's landmark 75th season.
