Hastelloy pipe fittings remain a critical spend category for chemical processing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, offshore and pollution-control projects in 2026. Buyers are not simply purchasing elbows, tees, reducers and flanges; they are buying corrosion resistance, pressure integrity and documented traceability. This guide gives American and global B2B buyers a practical framework for selecting the right alloy, qualifying suppliers, controlling landed cost and avoiding compliance failures at the border or on site.

Hastelloy is a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, not a single grade. The most requested grades in piping systems include C276 (UNS N10276), C22 (UNS N06022), B2 (UNS N10665), B3 (UNS N10675), C2000 (UNS N06200), G30 (UNS N06030) and X (UNS N06002). Each grade behaves differently in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, oxidizing media, chlorides and high-temperature service. Equipment maintenance and turnaround teams should treat Hastelloy fittings as a controlled spare part. Maintain a register that links each fitting to its heat number, specification, service location and installation date. During turnarounds, inspect for pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and wall thinning, especially in high-temperature or chloride-bearing streams.
