First major equipment ammonia cooler lifted into place for Indonesia Palembang PUSRI-IIIB project

On October 9, the Palembang PUSRI-IIIB project in Indonesia, constructed by China Chem Eleventh Construction Company, reached a milestone—the successful "first lift" of the first large-scale core equipment, an ammonia cooler, marking the project's full entry into the critical phase of large equipment installation and accelerating construction progress.

At 10:50 a.m. that day, under the joint witness of owner PUSRI, EPC contractor Wuhuan Company, and other parties, the 216-ton ammonia cooler, measuring φ3.56×25.586 meters, was steadily lifted by a 1,350-ton crawler crane. It precisely completed a series of operations including flipping, lifting, rotating, and positioning. The entire process proceeded smoothly, safely, and under control, achieving successful installation in one attempt.

The PUSRI-IIIB project is a key national fertilizer upgrade initiative in Indonesia. Upon completion, it will significantly enhance local ammonia and urea production capacity, secure agricultural fertilizer supply, and support the transformation and upgrading of Indonesia's chemical industry.
