Clean sensors and connectors regularly using manufacturer-approved methods—never use abrasive materials. Schedule formal calibration at intervals determined by usage frequency, stability history, and risk assessment—not just calendar time. Maintain a complete asset register including model, serial number, calibration due date, and uncertainty budget. After any repair or adjustment, revalidate performance through recalibration. Train personnel on both operational procedures and the meaning of measurement uncertainty to prevent misinterpretation of results.
