I. Application & Characteristics
WBD-400Valve Testing Machine, a special one for the testing of the pressure of all kinds of valves, is applicable for the testing of valves before they leave the manufacturers, for the purpose of testing before the installation, the strength after the fixing, and the sealing capacity detection. The product is controlled electronically, an electromechanical and hydraumatic integrated equipment, our latest self-developed product, which takes the technological lead in the same industry.
The product bears the system of emergency cut-off capacity when the loss of phase, overload, overcurrent occur. The emergency shut down system enables the product to work smoothly, sufficiently and reliably.
The characteristics of this single-work-position valve testing machine read as follow:
1. The inset ring seal groove provides you a safer seal, replacing the sealing elements easier as to save more time.
2. This machine employs horizontal testing technique, easier to hoist the heavy duty valve, which makes the testing easier, quicker and more time and labour saving.
3. The stainless steel high pressure ball valve is applied, which makes the operation of the pipeline quicker and more labour saving.
4. The heavy-duty self-priming pump injects water when testing, pressurizing by high-pressure pump, which will certainly meet your needs as for the pressure testing.
5. The machine applies the pressure control technology by electric contact, so the product can be operated more safely and more reliably as for testing purposes.
II. Main Technical Specifications

1. Scope of Application: the drift diameter of the valve: Φ100mm — Φ500mm
Valve height shall be between 200mm to 1500mm;
2. Maximum Testing Pressure: 20MPa ;
3. Testing Duration: 30 seconds to three minutes (Excluding dwelling time);
4. The test medium: Water;
5. The Rated Fluid Pressure: 31.5 MPa
6. The Rated Fluid Flow: 10L/min;

III. Construction Briefing
1. Hydraulic Power Supply
The hydraulic power supply is composed by fuel tank, fluid pump, motor, hydraulic and other parts.
A plunger pump is chosen for the power supply, whose powerful supply can meet the needs of the pressure testing machine and it can discharge automatically in ballast so as to reduce energy consumption at the greatest extent
2. Controlling Board
The Controlling Board is composed by hydraulic control elements, electric control elements so as to achieve the control of the whole machine.
3. Main Structure
The Main Structure is composed by the main body, which comprises rack, vertical plate, guide pillars, oil cylinder and etc. Water injection and pressure testing are to be completed on the main structure.
4. Water Supply
The water supply is to be completed by a heavy-duty self-priming pump and a high-pressure pump, the valve is positioned at the back of the blind plate, the main cylinder drives the upper blind plate moving down so as to seal the two openings of the valve. After that, the heavy-duty self-priming pump will inject the valve full of water, and the high-pressure pump starts the pressure test with the valve full of water.
IV. Application Method and Requirements
1. Before testing, the machine shall be fixed to a solid foundation, connecting the high-pressure oil pipe and the power, adjusting the flood valve of the pump station, setting up the working pressure as for standby. The water pump and high-pressure pump shall be full of water before the application.
2. The working procedures are as follow:
2.1 Positioning the valve;
2.2 Starting the hydraulic system and checking pressure comparison table according to the drift diameter of the valve and adjusting the suitable pressure of the electro connecting pressure gauge; move the oil cylinders to the right positions and then seal the valve;
2.3 Open the air valve and start to inject water in. When water comes out from the air valve, close it;
2.4 According to the pressure testing requirements of the valve, adjust the suitable pressure of the electric connecting pressure gauge, start the high-pressure pump to pressurize and when it reaches the set pressure, it stops automatically;
2.5 Maintain the pressure as required by the valve pressure requirements;
2.6 Start the undloading valve to load off the pressure;
2.7 Remove the oil cylinders and the testing work is completed.
3. All the cylinders are controlled by the pressure gauge with electric contact and it is really reliable. Stop the machine completely when any element is out of order so as to avoid hypertonia which can damage the elements of the machine.
V. Maintenance and Servicing
1. Grease the guide pillars and guide sleeves to reduce friction as to extend the service life.
2. Clean and grease the machine regularly;
3. Do not adjust the pressure once it having been set.
4. Keep the Controlling Cabinet clean, keep labeled buttons clean and complete so as to avoid any mis-operation which can cause unnecessary facilities’ mechanical and electrical failures.
5. Regular and occasional cleaning of the Controlling Cabinet is necessary, to prevent any liquid, either water or oil, from damaging. Mosquito net shall be cleaned as to remove the dust and the dead bodies of the insects. No clipping, pressing, stepping, pulling of the cables from the Controlling Cabinet to the Loading Ends as to avoid incidents of the machinery and the human casualties.
6. Check the voltage, current and the temperature of the wiring at any time. Stop the machine to check should any abnormity be found.
